Over the last 161 years we have seen so many people blessed by God's ministry at FBC Welland. We have also been blessed with many people who have answered the call on their life to go and spread the good news of Jesus Christ using their talents and gifts; as such we have many ministries to help families connect with God, grow in their knowledge of Him, and prepare themselves to go out on to the mission field, both locally and globally. Below you will find some information about the ministries available to bless you and your family. If you find there is something that God is calling you to get involved in, please reach out!
Our "underground" youth ministry is a family founded upon building strong roots in the Lord Jesus and growing in our faith so that we can go beyond the walls of the church building and be a blessing to those around us.
Tuesday nights @ 6:30pm is Jr. High for students grades 6-8. Wednesday nights @ 7:00pm is Sr. High for students grades 9-12.
Half an hour before each youth group begins the doors are open for open gym or bible journaling.
Young Adults Ministry
Life doesn't end after highschool, and we recognize the importance of connection with our community. Young Adults Ministry offers a bi-weekly bible study, events, connection to retreats, and an opportunity to use your talents and gifts to serve both this local church and the city of Welland.
Our Baptist Women's group meets monthly on the first Wednesday; discussing outreach, engaging in discipleship, and coming together to pray over our local and global community. Periodically events are held as well such as lunch outings, visiting members who cannot attend / leave home, and special seasonal events.
There are many ministries run through FBC to serve the Lord and our community, scheduled ministries listed:
Feed My People: Free hot meal on the 1st Friday of each month. Open to anyone in need.
Movie Night: Biweekly Friday night's September through May a movie with a Christian message is played in the sanctuary free of charge (including refreshments!)
For more information regarding service opportunities contact us!
As God has blessed us with a community of people who seek to worship in Spanish as well as English. Led by Pastor Sergio Espinoza, there is a weekly worship service held every Saturday evening at 7:00pm including Kids Church downstairs.
Additionally there are special services and Bible Studies throughout the year that are held to reach out to the Latino community in Welland and abroad.
We take Youth Ministry seriously at FBC Welland. Sunday's during service you will find our Sunday School program running. Monday nights @ 6:30pm is AWANA Kids Club for kids ages 4-11. In the summer we also run a Vacation Bible School, Sports Camp, and SURVIVOR CAMP.
There is something for everyone and we encourage your kids to get involved and make friends for a lifetime while experiencing the love of Jesus and learning about Jesus.
Young Girls // Old Souls Project
The Young Girls Old Souls Project is a stepping stone for mentoring. Here we gather, once per month, as women of all ages to participate in an activity designed to bridge the generational gap between us and allow us a common ground to share life. Our hope is that the friendships built here will go beyond these walls and move into deeper, more intentional mentor-type relationships.
We all have something to share with one another and we are never finished learning; so no matter where we are in life we are empowered to pour into other women to be light in their life, encourage authentic spiritual growth, and help each other through difficult and uncharted waters, pointing to the Lord as our ultimate guide. ❤️
Next Gathering: Saturday September 15, 2018
Our men's group meets every Saturday morning at 7:30am in the Cornerstone Room / Upstairs Classroom for prayer followed by a breakfast outing together at a local restaurant.
Throughout the year there are men's events like NHA Suppers, Baseball Games, Movie Nights, and retreats.
Study & Learning
Adult Bible Study runs every Wednesday evening at 6:30pm led by Pastor Rene and Paul Peebles, one of our deacons. Currently Studying 1st & 2nd Timothy.

Health & Wellness

Tone & Shape Classes: Monday's & Wednesday's at 8:15pm. $24/month or $3/class. Kickoff Sept 24th.
The Daniel Plan: Currently on break but we meet Monday evenings to support each other in 5 key areas (Faith, Food, Focus, Friends, Fitness). New start up date: TBA
Softball: Each summer season we have a softball team as a part of the UFCCC League of Niagara region churches. Registration information will be posted in the spring.
We are so happy to help you prepare for one of the biggest decisions of your life. Pastor Rene is available to officiate your wedding, and offer pre-marital classes to you and your future spouse to help you learn what God wants for your union.
